Compost Bin

Organics

Leaves, grass clippings, branches, and weeds can go in your green organics bin. Recology now accepts food scraps like banana peels and chicken bones and food-soiled paper in your green bin!

Recycle Bin

Recycling

Paper, cardboard, glass bottles, aluminum/tin cans, and hard plastics (no plastic bags or thin-film plastics) can go in your blue bin.

Landfill Bin

Landfill

What is trash? Not much! Thin plastics (bags and saran wrap), cat litter, ceramics, and broken glass to name a few.

Set Up or Change Service

Cart Placement

Please place containers at the curb by 5:00 am on your service day or the night before. Do not place materials on top or next to your containers. You may dispose of occasional excess garbage by calling our office at least a day before your service day – fees apply, or by scheduling a Bulky Item Pickup.

Metal Bins

Bins are available in a variety of sizes. The most common-sized bins are listed below for garbage and recycling. However, based on weight limits its recommended compost bins are no larger than 3 cubic yards.
