    • Tuesday – Saturday: 8 AM – 4 PM
    • Sunday and Monday: closed

The San Martin Transfer Station is open to the public to drop off accepted items for recycling and disposal. Please see the accepted items list below.

Accepted Items (No Charge):

Recyclable items, such as:

  • Aluminum and tin cans
  • Cardboard
  • Glass bottles and jars
  • Mixed paper
  • Plastic containers marked #1 – #7
  • Plastic bags (bagged together, such as grocery, shopping, newspaper, and dry cleaning bags)

Foamed polystyrene and packaging foam are not accepted as recycling.

Accepted Items (For A Fee):

  • Appliances and furniture
  • Brush and yard waste (not accepted in plastic bags
    or mixed in with garbage)
  • Construction and demolition debris – no dirt, rock,
    concrete, brick
  • Regular household garbage
  • Wood (untreated, unpainted only)

We do not accept household hazardous waste (this includes treated or painted wood). For more information about household hazardous waste, please contact the Santa Clara County Household Hazardous Waste program.
