Recology San Benito County offers collection of bulky items (large household items that don’t fit in your curbside bins) to residential customers two times each year.  Residents can arrange for curbside collection of bulky items at no additional cost. Collection of this material may include up to 2 cubic yards of materials, up to 5 pieces of electronic waste, and up to two appliances or bulky items (such as appliances containing freon).

Bulky items must be at the curb by 6 AM on your scheduled collection day.

To cancel your bulky items collection please call Customer Service at least one business day prior to your scheduled appointment. If your items are not curbside prior to the truck arriving, you will forfeit your free bulky pick-up.

Unused bulky item collections do not roll over to the next year. If you exceed the number of free collections, you may request additional collections for a fee.

To participate in this program your account must be current, your bill cannot be past due. This curbside bulky item collection program is only for residential customers located in San Benito County.

DROP OFF

San Benito County hosts a number of Bulky Item Drop-off Events throughout the year at no cost to residents. You may also drop off recyclable items at the John Smith Road Landfill, Mon – Fri, 8 AM – 4 PM; Sat – Sun, 9 AM – 3 PM). Items must be separated by material.
