Organic Recycling Services

Recology Butte Colusa Counties now offers organic (food waste) recycling services to commercial customers in Chico and Oroville. Commercial customers are now required to recycle food scraps in order to comply with SB 1383. Services offered and pricing depends on service area. Our food waste route currently runs 3 days/week, every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

Customers participating in our programs must keep green waste (yard trimmings) separated from food waste, and we do NOT accept food-soiled paper waste at this time.  Plastic bags and compostable plastics are NOT allowed in any green bin.

Holiday Tree Pickup

After December 26^th we offer curbside holiday tree collection on your normal yard trimmings collection day. Once you’ve removed all the tinsel, lights, decorations and stands from your holiday tree, you can leave the tree next to your residential carts, or at the designated area determined by your property manager (no flocked trees).

Please make sure trees are cut into lengths of 3 feet or less.

Property Managers: Request a bin or debris box for tree collection.
