During the month of January, Recology will collect natural, undecorated, unflocked holiday trees in lengths of up to 4 feet.
For customers who subscribe to weekly organics (yard waste) collection – no special arrangements are necessary; just put your tree curbside on your regular compost collection day.
Recology customers who do not subscribe to weekly compost collection can have their tree collected for an additional fee by contacting customer service by Friday, January 21st at 425.844.1900 or by email at Carnation@recology.com and scheduling a pickup.
Flocked trees are not accepted in compost collection because flocking contains non-compostable materials including adhesives, flame retardants, or additives. Flocked trees may be disposed of as garbage for an additional fee.
