Recology Mountain View provides debris box and commercial recycling services throughout the City. Construction and demolition (C & D) material is sorted for recycling at Greenwaste’s Resource Recovery Facility in San Jose, through an advanced C & D processing facility.

Debris boxes are used for medium to large projects, including business construction and demolition, and residential clean-ups. Example materials collected include concrete, wood, bricks, metals, asphalt, sheetrock, glass, porcelain, concrete, and dirt; corrugated cardboard, a variety of plastics such as PVC pipe, packaging, and yard or landscaping materials.

Please Note The Following

The City of Mountain View has an exclusive franchise agreement with Recology Mountain View to transport debris boxes to the SMaRT Station for recycling or disposal. Using non-franchised haulers is a violation of the Mountain View City Municipal Code.

• No hazardous or toxic materials, automotive parts, or explosives.
• Materials must be evenly distributed and cannot exceed the rim of the box.
• Bins exceeding the weight limit will be subject to additional charges.
• Rental charges apply to boxes remaining on-site for more than seven days.
