The Cities of Fortuna, Rio Dell, Ferndale, Willow Creek, and many parts of Humboldt County have an exclusive waste hauling franchise agreement with Recology Eel River and are the only contractor permitted to place and collect debris boxes throughout these areas.
Debris boxes are used for construction and demolition (C&D) waste generated from construction, renovation, repair, and demolition of houses, large building structures, roads, bridges, piers, and dams. They can also be used for general recyclables and trash.
