Electronic and universal waste, such as computer monitors, TVs, fluorescent tubes and consumer batteries, are prohibited from the trash. Electronic and universal waste contains a variety of toxic components like lead, cadmium and mercury, arsenic and flame retardants, and when dumped in a landfill, these materials can contaminate the soil and ground water, thus impacting surrounding areas.
Examples of electronic waste include: microwaves, T.V.’s, computer monitors and towers, cell phones, ipods, DVD players, stereos, etc.
Examples of universal waste include: used motor oil and filters, batteries, fluorescent tubes and bulbs, SHARPS, etc.

Monday – Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Sat: 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Universal Waste:
1st and 3rd Friday of each month: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Electronic waste items (non CRT or flat screen) are $5.00 each; microwaves are $10 each.
